I for one hate Internet Explorer and wished it didn't exist, but it does so I have to work with it.
I set up a drupal commons website and everything seems to work perfect on Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome. I thought it was the same with Internet Explorer and found out that persons could not use the Link and Photo buttons that work with the form.
When the Link or Photo buttons are click both buttons disappear and the submit button is left. Could someone help me out with this issue.
The default commons installation has the same issue.

doors commentedDoes this mean that I need to update the Facebook-style Statuses (Microblog) to 6.x-3.0 version?
icecreamyou commentedCommons should already have FBSS 3.0 or 3.x-dev, which is fine. But Commons also overrides most of the visual presentation of the status update/attachment form, so the IE bug you're experiencing is probably on the Commons side.

The problem is definitely in Commons and it still exists in the latest 6.25 release.

doors commentedThanks very much.
I just installed the latest 6.25 version of commons and IE is still not working.
I am going to try and get this error details to the Commons maintainers.
