I am very impressed how this module works when its about to import data (image/video) from some external URL. I was thinking of making this part a separate module, so the same functionality could be added to nodes and cck field. What do you think about that, do you plan to do it? If not could you point community to where this "magic" happens so we could fork out a module for this?

Someone did try it, and I have some of the work with me which was sent to me for review. I have asked for the permission from the author, and I will upload it if I get a reply.
