Very first thing \I tried was to add a theme.
Told to add it here:
/public_html/sites/all/themes/thegreenhouse
but the Drupal Admin/Themes page wont list it.

Even tried
/public_html/sites/all/thegreenhouse

So added it where the other themes are:
/public_html/themes/thegreenhouse
and it wont pick it up either.

I can't have gone wrong already, surely!

Downloaded thegreenhouse, unzipped it and ftp'd the folder
thegreenhouse and its image folder beneath it.

How do I twist it's little arm to find it, please?
The only fault that Drupal is telling me about is something about cronjobs. I know they are something to do with timed events - but I only installed it half an hour ago and I expect picking up this theme isn't connected with that.

There are a couple of possibilities.
(1) Your folder permissions are the trouble
(2) You don't have the engine for the type of theme you are trying to use. Some themes may use the smarty engine or something

If the theme as an install and/or a readme, you'll want to be sure to read them.

Oh, and you'll want to be sure you are using a 5.x theme, not a 4.x one.

Well it says...5.x-1.x-dev
I set up Drupal using fantastico and all the folders have the same drwxr-xr-x (including thegreenhouse)
The theme has no readme and doesn't mention on the Drupal themes page about any other engine

So, its just me then! At least I'm not doing anything obviously wrong. Thanks.

I have the same troubles with the leaf theme. It won't show in the listing... :(

and

TY!

PS I also installed it using Fantastico icw cpanel.

Guess what!
If you rename the garland theme as garland2
and then rename thegreenhouse as garland.....

...it still doesn't work.
Must be a duff theme.

.. hahaha same thing I did.. renaming the leaf dir to leaf2.. NO GO :(

Definitely something wrong with the leaf theme. It won't work for me either and it's the first one I've run into that won't. The greenhouse theme does work for me. Perhaps remove all the greenhouse directories you have now, then re-download and re-extract it into your /themes/ directory?

I just set up a new site with Drupal. Fresh install (with Fantastico). First thing I did was install the leaf theme. No go!
Maybe we have to contact the author?

I've made a bug report on this issue...
