I'd recommend actually using the version I am attaching here. It handles some problems that existed with CCK fields that attach files (i.e. imagefield fields). If a site running Publish syndicated content that had a file attached using a CCK field, the file did not link up properly with the node on the subscribed site. This patch upgrades to Drupal 5 AND fixes that bug.

If I need to patch that bug fix separately, let me know. I'd be happy to do it.
