Cannot import zip

Drupal: 6.23 MySql: 5.1.56 PHP: 5.2.14

I have installed Gallery Assist Upload and Import Helper as well as the Gallery Assist Suite and am having some difficulty importing zip files.

I have attached an image to show what i see...

The panel above is the Gallery Assist Upload and Import panel that i get, it does not even allow me to select a zip file, only image files.

The panel below is what occurs when I try and upload a zip from the individual file upload field

From the picture on the module upload home page I should be getting a panel with 'Directories', 'Archives' and 'Files'.

I have not seen anything like this.
