Description

hi, I thnk my system is stuck in NODE PRIVACY BY ROLE mode, I ran the mod in 47 upgraded to 5 and there is no module so I think my drupal has a 4.7 hangover from too much node privacy, can you suggest a good way to be sure and perhaps fix it? It shows the anonnymous user the "Welcome to your new Drupal website" screen.....

Thanks for any and all help

Hi mate, I haven't got any first hand experience of upgrading however I'd have thought that by default the permissions that were set before should remain and you'd still have the same permissions in place so I'm not sure what's causing your issue.

Anyway, a few of us have been working on a 5 version which you can get hold of in this issue: http://drupal.org/node/106122. Make sure you read the upgrade instructions before you install and enable the module. Can't be sure the upgrade would work but I'd have thought they would.

Alternatively, if you go to admin > post settings > rebuild permissions then that should clear out all the permissions and return all your pages to the default permission set.

Cheers,

Jon

Thanks the rebuild solved the problem, Its probably just that I DID NOT disable the module before I upgraded to drupla 5, plus there was no module ver 5, so the permissions were still in effect, Thanks tons!!!
