Hi everyone,

I don't want the titles in the comments to be shown (I'm currently using the Garland theme), because most of my users don't use this option and it looks quite strange, when the first few words are repeated without a reason. I could not find any help with the search option or the comment manual. Is there a possibillity to remove the titles entirely?

Thanks in advance!

If you go to admin/content/comment/settings there is an option called "Comment subject field". Click on disabled.

This should do it...

Go to your theme folder and find this file: "comment.tpl.php"

You should see a line that looks like this:

<h3><?php print $title ?></h3>

You might have something a little different if you're using a different size text instead of <h3> (that is the Garland default, I believe), but in there is the print command that tells Drupal to display the title.

Remove that line (or comment it out).

This should cause all comments to display without titles. You will want to disable "Comment subject field" in the /admin/content/comment/settings menu, or people will be asked to type in a title they will never see.
