drupal 5.1 is install up and running. But there are some questions about the handling of user registration, activation and emails.

Due to bad experience we will activate every new account by admins. email verifications doesn't seem to make sense with this set up. And on registration, there is an email sent to the user and the admins. Fine.

But as far as we get it, there is *no* email to the user in the case that an admin has activated the account.

Can someone confirm this?

Is there any solution (module?) that drupal will sent a notification that the account is no activated and ready to use?

http://drupal.org/project/user_status is written for exactly this problem.
i'm working on moving it into core for D6, too. ;)
