Theme The User Login Block With Javascript

I would like the ability to theme the user login block so that I can customize it in my template.php rather than having to create a custom block that almost duplicates the functionality of the current function...I only need to make a few small changes to the code and I don't really want to hack the module itself. It seems that it would be best to make this function a themeable one, so that users can customize it just like the theme_lt_loggedinblock...

Anyway, I just thought I would submit a request to hear your thoughts... I don't have any clue as to the amount of work this would take... I know just enough php to make minor changes, but not enough to do everything otherwise I would. It seems though in the comments in the code that you or someone else agrees that "this should really be themed" on line 510.

The lt module is really a great one... I think it provides quite a few really useful and handy features... I would just absolutely love the ability to theme that one function so that I can change a few things... (Mainly break the login/register link into two separate links...a login link and a register link. Also, to change some of javascript effects, etc...)
