With the revamp of the hosting page we're looking to highlight hosts that truly support the Drupal project either with code, documentation, contributions, or financially. Currently we have hosts that have been grandfathered in. We are removing grandfathered hosts.

This task is to be completed after the new hosting page is in place.

The hosts that will remain on the page are:
EchoDitto
Holistic Solutions' HotDrupal.com
Koumbit.org
2020media.com

If there are other hosts that should remain on this page please comment on this task.

Will we be removing any from Enterprise or PaaS?

None will be removed from Enterprise or PaaS

This is a content change, editing organization nodes, so Drupal.org webmasters can take it.

Tyler - if you want to do this, you'll need the site maintainer role. I think that should be done with some community review in this queue. A good example is #1125096: I want to join the webmasters team/admin users.

I'm also fine jumping in here to do the actual change. I have the proper permissions.

This post is mainly to document the task and to make it transparent what we're doing.

While the focus is on removing hosting companies from the hosting page, we would actually like to be added. Our shared hosting services are primarily optimized for Drupal - you can check them out here: http://toratek.net/shared-hosting/ - and in fact the first time around we called ourselves DrupalCentric.com. But because of all this work in progress in regards to the hosting page, we decided to go back to our company name, which is Toratek LLC.

Regardless, our shared hosting services are targeted at Drupal. We have tuned MySQL and PHP for Drupal, and even our entry level accounts come with 2 CPU cores and 4 threads per account, something that's not offered by most hosting providers.

We would be more than happy to work with the community in improving our Drupal optimized hosting solutions. If anyone has any suggestions, please contact me directly at marcm@toratek.net.

Thank you.

Thanks. We emailed Megan at the Drupal Assosiation. Hopefully we get added, because we have a great product for hosting Drupal.

Thanks,
Marc @ Toratek .NET

Hosting pages cleaned up.

I saw that and I am glad as well that it finally got cleaned up. We joined the Drupal Association as well, and we hope to do more for the community and the Drupal Association as time goes on. And of course, we hope to be listed as well.

Have you read http://drupal.org/node/1955290 and http://groups.drupal.org/node/206978? Grandfathering is still going on. DA failed to demonstrate what kind of great deeds in the name of Drupal project such listed companies as 2020Media, CiviHosting, Cruiskeen, EchoDitto, Egressive Limited, Holistic Solutions' HotDrupal.com, Koumbit.org, Promet Solutions Inc. have done, however at the same time keeps requiring new applicants to "contribute enough" to the community. Nobody knows who and how will define level of that "enoughness". So it would be much fairer if that page consisted only of paid ad and all the grandfathered companies would get removed.

Alternatively, DA should clearly demonstrate heroism of listed companies, so that other applicants have clear picture of they are asked for.

Correcting the title of the thread. Please either remove all the grandfathered hosting vendors like Holistic Solutions' HotDrupal.com (what a great name!), whose contributions to Drupal community we didn't notice, or let other Drupal-oriented hosting companies get in the list. It is in the best interestes of end-users to know what kind of options they have to choose among Drupal-specific hosting vendors like http://drupion.com and we even can't get in the list for already two years. Be fair!
