How good are site5 with Drupal, especially MySQL reliability?

...But I recently moved a client from Dreamhost to Site5. The transfer went without a hitch and performance increased TREMENDOUSLY.

Dreamhost's mysql performance is abysmal. When we switched to Site5, query speed increased by 2 orders of magnitude. Now, pages pop up in less than 1-2 seconds. However, I can't yet speak to reliability or scalability. (The site is fairly small) But so far, no complaints.

I'm with them and have had no problems.....The few times I've had problems their tech support have been both fast, courteous and knowledgable....I'd even go so far as to say very helpful which compared to my experience with other shared hosts is extremely good indeed.

I've specifically never had any problems with MySQL since I've been with them, I used to get problems on previous hosts where by I'd reach max concurrent connections to the DB etc, this has never been an issue for me on site5 to date.

Obviously take into account what kind of site your running and how this will sit up against there terms of service, some larger sites that have large volumes of traffic and users etc may be best away from a shared hosting environment full stop but if shared hosting is what your looking at I'd give my personal recommendation of Site5.

Are you able to administer Drupal well from the command line? That is one of the reasons I liked Dreamhost

"Our limit is approximately 200"

How does that compare to other quality sharred hosts?

I have run several drupal sites with them and have been pleased. They have a different webserver control panel than most but I really like it.

The performance in general seems snappier than most shared hosts I have worked with.

Only downside I can think of is they don't have an upgrade path to a dedicated server if you need it in the future - but that doesn't matter to most people.
