This is not strictly a Google CSE question, but I am at my wits end on this one and don't know how to deal with it. I currently have Google CSE enabled, so of course also Search which is a requirement. For some reason (as I have already reported), every now and then some of my older nodes cause a timeout in Search module when being read: why this should be I do not know, I have tried reindexing, reindexing and emptying the tables, restarting the server... nothing does any good. So in desperation I am wondering whether it would be possible to eliminate Search altogether - and would appreciate some pointers to help me find out where to remove it from Google CSE, if this is possible.

Ooops. I found the answer myself. Of course, all I had to do was to turn off Google CSE Search and then I could turn off Search also. Everything works fine
