This may be off-topic for this forum, but for a Drupal noobie seeking information about Drupal, "Before you start" seemed a likely place to post.
Of the many "values" of Drupal quoted in the literature are the large number of installation profiles, or distributions, that an installer can select from to increase the efficiency of the web site deployment. Additionally, Drupal installers have access to a huge bank of modules that can enhance the new site's feature set and a fair number of themes with which to beautify the output.
As I've studied these installations I've downloaded a couple of the profiles and punched them into my testing area under xampp. Most everything goes well, and I've been able to study the features presented by the profiles and and learn a bit about how Drupal is structured using the modules. I'm planning to take this inquiry into greater depth, especially as I move to selecting the best profile for my project and determining which modules to disable and to install.
Here is my issue: In studying the profiles page, I simply first scanned through the lists and focused on several that caught my attention. In my next step, I listed all of the profiles output to my browser so that I could print out the list and take notes on my findings as I went back through the profiles list for a more detailed study. As it turned out, this was 8 or so pages in the browser, but almost 100 pages on paper. I found no way to view just the profiles titles in the http://drupal.org/project/installation%2Bprofiles page to a single, unpaginated page. Ultimately, I had to copy and append each page to a M$ WORD document, then use the table of contents feature to filter only the titles. This was not a terribly grueling process, but anticipating doing something similar with the several thousand modules available, the task becomes more formidable. In summary, is there a way on Drupal.org/projects to print just the titles of modules/profiles/themes?

That would be neat. It would probably take 10 minutes tops to do this, but of course there is always bureaucracy...
There seems to be an issue related to installation profiles and improving UX on drupal.org for users of them: #1314124: [META] Improve installation profile listing on Drupal.org.
