Does this module address "Paypal payments advanced"? - It appears to be some sort of iframe deal that lets you check out on your site without having to actually execute the transaction on the site itself.

lobo235 commentedI'd love to see this functionality included into this module as well since PayPal Payments Advanced is only $5/month compared to WPP which is like $30/month.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedDoes this mean that if I have an "Advanced" account this module wont work for me?
rszrama commentedCan someone link to the docs for this "Advanced" payments option? I've never heard of it.

jhebel commentedHi Ryan, yeah this looks like something relatively new. See here:

rszrama commentedIt looks to me like the only difference between Advanced and Pro is the lack of a virtual terminal. I suppose I'd expect the API to be the same for either one, meaning you can probably use the PayPal WPP module to connect to an Advanced account, but we'd have to test and check out the API docs to make sure.

mediapal commentedHi Ryan,
Any news about the WPP Module and Paypal advanced functionality?

rszrama commentedUnless someone has tried it, my comment in #8 is all I know.

mrpeanut commentedThis module currently does not work with PayPal Payments Advanced. You get this error: #1500182: Paypal WPP configuration Error 10501
Specifically, see this comment.
I called PayPal, and they said that Payments Pro is required for Direct Pay.

rszrama commentedAlrighty, after reviewing the current x.com developer guides, it's clear that PayPal has changed the names of existing services and is trying to rebrand others. PayPal Payments Advanced, as MrPeanut said, is not supported by this module. We'll need to do an update to bring this module on par with the new naming conventions and begin to add support for the additional services. As far as I can tell, the service changes went into effect in April of this year and so were not around when the module was first created last year.
We're working with PayPal to ensure we provide proper baseline support for their services, so I'll leave this as a postponed feature request until we do a full review and allocate time to support new services. If anyone else wants to take this task on as a submodule to this project, feel free to reactivate this issue with a patch. : )

You can refer the paypal payments advanced module from the modulebazaar. You can find the link here

Rob_Feature commentedWhy does it say that Payments Advanced is supported on the module page, but here it says it's not?
(marking major since it's pretty unclear)

rszrama commentedThis just wasn't marked "closed (fixed)."
