I updated jquery_update 0.8 to "jquery_update-5.x-1.0.tar.gz", but the available updates page still shows the version as 0.8.
Whats wrong with this?

We're not supporting the 5.x-1.* series any more. All effort is going towards a 5.x-2.0 release so we can move this into core before the D6 code freeze. Please try the 5.x-2.0-beta release and see if your problems go away.
