Hello all!
I am stuck in a rut, and hopefully someone can help me out of it.
I just completed a great tutorial (this one) on making sweet profiles using Usernode and Node Profile amongst others. However, Usernode seems to be completely inactive, as usernodes are not created. This is, of course, annoying. I am far from positive this has anything to do with following the tutorial mentioned above. It doesn't seem to include stuff that would disrupt much.
I have checked issues and forums on this, and all in all it seems like Usernode has very little trouble about it. I have de-installed and re-installed Usernode in a variety of versions (1.0, 1.1, 1.2), backtracked the steps of the tutorial, run cron alot, de-installed and re-installed a number of other modules and so on, to no avail.
At this point, I have no clue as to what may be the problem. If anyone out there has any tips and tricks, have encountered this type of problem, or has a magic solution, I would be very grateful!
Best Regards,
Joeboris

Ok, this is bizarre
I just discovered that this is happening on my dev site as well. When I wrote the tutorial, all was working fine. At some point, something broke and I don't know when or what since I didn't even notice it until just now. Users up to a certain point have usernodes and new users after that don't.
I will need to do some investigating but I won't have time until later today.

Found it!
I replied on the tutorial and will here as well. Turn off auto nodetitles on usernode. That's what's breaking it. Doh!

Sweet, sweet success!!
Worked for me too!
Thank you very much for your help, and thank you once again for the tutorial! Great work!

No problem
Glad I finally managed to figure it out. I only wish I'd thought to look at the validation function first! On the plus side, I learned a lot about FAPI by tracing through the form submission code. :)

how?
I dont find the way to turn them off
Just get a dark gray background empty textarea for Title... which should mean automatic I guess. ..
Also I dont find any setting in the CCK settings pages...
Where is it actually turned off?
I tried turning it off but it
I tried turning it off but it didn't work! On activation of module it creates usernodes but when creating new users/account it does not. How can I fix this?
Could it be a conflict with Node Profile Module?
EDIT: I found the reason!! Apparently usernode DOES NOT work with CCK field node reference! Do NOT add a node reference to your usernode or it will NOT generate the usernode
