It has been brought to my attention recently (by several) that the Drupal community is in need of a new hosting solution. I work for Mosso (www.mosso.com), a venture company of Rackspace Managed Hosting. We offer enterprise level hosting on several load-balanced clusters of servers which allows for significantly better performance than a single dedicated server and also added redundancy.

Many here run Drupal sites and we host quite a few - we would like to work with and help the Drupal community get on a better solution for the present and for future growth.

Your information is incorrect. Drupal is currently hosted by OSUOSL and they do an absolutely excellent job. We are extremely happy with them and their efforts. If you would like more information as to what goes on here, subscribe to the drupal infrastructure mailing list.
