We're building a site with some simple e-commerce needs, and our credit card merchant is a small company and they don't have their own Drupal module. What we're looking to do is take customer credit card numbers through a secure checkout, validate the numbers (so we don't get any fake numbers), and our customer service reps will manually process the numbers off-line. We will not need anything to process the credit cards in Drupal, we'll just need something to take the numbers and make sure they're actual numbers.

Any ideas?

Thanks much in advance!

Well.. not sure what all you're looking for, but the credit module I wrote for Ubercart can do just that. It will validate numbers at checkout if you want. It's displayed through the normal checkout form we have, but you can turn off the parts of the checkout form that you don't want. In any event, it can at least be a starting point if you've gotta do some custom development.

I tried and installed Ubercart just before reading your reply, and it's exactly what we're looking for! Wonderful! However I don't see anything that'll process coupons, and we do run quite a few promo codes every month (mostly based on minimum purchases, "orders over $150 receive 10% off"). Is anything in the works for a coupon module? Thanks much!

Blake Lucchesi has posted an in progress module in the forums. He's also doing a Google Summer of Code project, though, so I don't know what his status is or how many hours he's putting toward that module. Lyle and I are busy w/ other core features, so for now it's him and another development team that are working toward the functionality. You can try and contact him to see what he's up to (his site is http://www.boldsource.com) and maybe talk about sponsorship or something. Hope it works out!

The screen shots posted on his site looks great and right on the money. One small problem tho...

I installed Ubercart on my test site, and wasn't able to get it running right. Pictures uploaded for products are not showing up, and clicking on the "next" button upon checkout after email address is entered does nothing.

Would it be better if I move this discussion over to the Ubercart site?

Thanks again!

Yeah, come on over. : ) It seems like there may be a couple separate issues here.
