Auto generated Content after the "create account" from

Hi, me once again,

Is it possible to generate automatically a content-node after a sucessfully registration to the site?
I've created a new content-type. It includes some extra textfields.

My wish ist now: when a user create an account, a node from my content-type is automatically created by the system with standard values, but the "owner" is the new user. When the user wants, he can edit this new content.

Is this possible and how?. Any hints for me, that would be nice!
