Support for Aggregating Microformats

I have a project where I'd like to aggregate data in various microformats, hCard and hCalendar at minimimum, but probably also some others. It looks at first glance like this module would be the sensible home for such a feature, and I'd be willing to take a stab at it, although the result will certainly need serious scrutiny from a more competant developer.

Before I get too involved I'd appreciate any thoughts people might have about how to tackle this, or if it's just fundamentally a bad idea for some reason.
