This is the simplest module to use for multiple image uploading in Drupal.
It does not change the (already good) user interface for images, alt and title tags.
It does not try to implement the always buggy plupload drag and drop.
All you need is a current browser (I.E. 8 and less excepted of course).

To use, just click the "Browse" button as normal and choose multiple images instead of just one.
What could be simpler?

I agree! BTW the core issue is #625958: Support Uploading Multiple Files for HTML5 Browsers via #multiple attribute.
