I have lost the structure of my books of which there were several on my site. I could copy everything over to new book pages, but it would be much faster if there was a way through the database to give these pages their book page functionality again. Is there?
Thanks

If the books are made up of
If the books are made up of the "book" content type and all you have done is lost the structure (how did you do that), then you just need to relate the existing book pages.
I do not know how I did that
I am not even sure I did it (and no one else touches my pages). It may be that I uninstalled the book module once, but I do not recall.
I am not sure what you mean bij 'realting' the existing book pages. The book module is installed, but there are no books/bookpages that I can link to. Creating a new book is the only possibility, and that is what I hope to realize via the database, so that I do not have to build those pages again.
It's apparently worse
I created a new book page and then added one of the problematic book pages to the new 'structure'. All I got was a warning:
user warning: Duplicate entry '738' for key 'nid' query: INSERT INTO GRK_book (nid, mlid, bid) VALUES (738, 22858, 1674) in /home/theorichel/domains/grkmain.com/public_html/modules/book/book.module on line 465.but the page was not added to the structure, and though the new page does appear in the listing of books, when I click 'edit order and titles' the supposedly added page is not there.
Book Pages
I am a little unclear on your problem, but let me take a stab at it. When you say there are no book pages, do you mean:
a) there are no book pages on your current site (check Admin >> Content)
b) there were book pages on an old site, but they aren't there now?
c) there were book pages on an old site, and you want to have them appear on your new site?
If you have a database backup of your old site, then you at least have access to the old content; if there aren't too many pages, probably the easiest way to handle it would just be to cut & paste the content into your new site in the right location. If you have lots of pages (100+, say) nevets (one of the other respondents in this thread) probably could give you some guidance on how to essentially copy these articles from your old database to your new one. It's fairly easy, but I don't have a lot of experience with it. This process of making the data in the old DB available in the new one is probably what he means when he says 'relate it'
Thank you and sorry for being unclear
No pages have been lost, they have just lost the book structure and I can not make them join a new book structure. See what I wrote under 'it's apparently worse.'
It looks from your previous
It looks from your previous post as though the DB thinks you already have a book entry like you are trying to make there. I haven't used 'books' very much, so I need to do a little research on it. I'll try to get you some more useful info in 4-6 hrs if you/somebody else haven't come up with "the answer" by then Cheers :)
That would be very welcome
thanks very much. BTW, its midnight here in Holland so I'll see it tomorrow.

No - nothing found; I've gotten bogged down working on totally unrelated stuff. If you still need something better than a Q&D fix, I'll look more.
