I have a website running wherein you don't only need to mention the name of the author at the end of the post but this location (like city, state, country) as well which of course he has filled in, in his profile. So, it will be nice to have multiple fields in the authorship area.

Then just use the profile fields available at the theme layer. They are already there. Authorship just rewrites the users name.
