Flash Gallery is great, and I love the integration with Image Galleries -- it's exactly what I was looking for. However, I'd like to be able to have the viewer automatically advance through the slides by default, with navigation controls for stop, start, back, forward, etc. I imagine what will be needed is a replacement flash-based viewer, and since Simpleviewer is not open-source, it will need to be developed from scratch in Flash. I could take that on (and mine would be open-source GPL, so you could distribute it with Flash Gallery), but it would help to have any documentation you can provide about the interface between the Flash Gallery module and the viewer. (Most likely this would primarily be the path to get the XML with the images, right?)

Thanks!

Flash Gallery is being rewritten to work with SWF Tools. SWF Tools will be released in a week or two and will support simpleviewer and jeroenwijering.com imagerotator. So you'll be able to swap between these two viewer (and any other image viewers that may be integrated in the future) by just changing a setting in the admin pages.

SWF Tools ships with a *really* basic flv player and a *really* basic mp3 player. Not because I want them to be basic, just my flash skills are limited. So, staying with the trend, I would be more than happy for an image rotator of *any* quality to be added as a true GPL and drupal-hosted flash player!
