yo. i just installed Bible_Field on a new Drupal 6.24
with the latest CCK 6.x-2.9
I noticed that the javascript functionality (which loads the correct number of chapters per book etc) only worked for content types which have a Bible Reference field with a "number of values" set above 1.
I did some exploration of your bible_field.js and made some modifications to make it work. from my testing it now seems to work with either single or multiple valued fields, or both. That said, i've only done testing within the scope of my production, so you may want to do your own testing. For example, i'm not yet using views/filters, so i have no idea whether this still works.

m4oliveiIf someone would like to take up the torch for the 6.x branch that's awesome, let me know and we'll get you hooked up. Otherwise, I have no need for 6.x and am only working on the 7.x, sorry.
