Hello everyone,

I put my site off-line. Now, I can't get it back online! What the hell is happening? I have no login box, my admin is seperate from my general theme, every page I visit tells me my site is offline!

I am getting really tired of having to reinstall Drupal all the time. I have pages built, menus, built, I do not want to do it again. If I have to do it again, I'm done with Drupal. Somebody please help me!

The site is http://www.oldscoolgames.com

I tried to get into the admin section by typing http://www.oldscoolgames/?q=admin/ in the address bar but I cannot get into the administration section.

DAMN!

Very, very frustrated,

Jerry Kobylt

Hello, go to http://www.oldscoolgames/?q=user

From there login as the administrator. Then just turn your site back on.

I don't know why, but doing this crashes my database, bringing down other my other sites. Does anyone know how to do this manually? like from the db...

Got to yoursite/user (yoursite/?=user if no clean urls).

Sorry for wasting your time. I found an article on it in the help section. I panicked when I couldn't log back in. I've had to reinstall drupal too many times. What happens to the content? Where can I find the pages I create in the Drupal database?

From "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (Douglas Adams):
"DON'T PANIC."

If something goes wrong, sit, relax and re-think. It's better way than panic (panic is good way to more problems)

Thank you for this thread.

You all helped me avoid Panic. If I had to, I was willing to go through that install again since I am in learning mode. My site is embryonic, but I could completely appreciate the panic if a site was near completion.

I did some module updates, and needed a database update, hence, off-line mode. I could not get back in and found this thread. It was easy and without Panic!

Thanks again
