Could you add a checkbox for setting unique_names to FALSE?

This issue was fixed few weeks ago(it is included in alpha verison). File names are preserved. If they have numbers at the end it means there is file with the same name and new file was renamed by adding integer suffix to the file name so the previous one would not be overwritten.

This issue occures when you are using filefield_paths module.
