ohh you can do that in your easyrec instance -

  1. login
  2. select your tenant
  3. search for the specific item
  4. deactivate it with the ON / Off switch next to your item name

but i will note it down that the user should be able to that through the admin GUI - you give good feedback :)

Oh, I mean totally another situation. When you view a node (product) page, in the recommendation block the same node may appear.

hmm i did not knew that this is possible - i think easyrec never sends a recommendation
