I've recently found out this much faster and lighter alternative to jQuery Mobile http://www.jqmobi.com/ . Consider as a suggestion :)

Interesting. Unfortunately I don't have the time to check this out (as this is my first hearing of it, and am reluctant to get side-tracked). I'll keep an eye out for it though to see other uses of it. But for now, I feel comfortable with jQuery Mobile handling this, and will continue sharpening its usage here. Please feel free to fork/branch something and see if you can get DrupalGap to work with jqMobi :)
