Wildcard is set incorrectly using character ‘%’ where ‘@’ should be used, and thus a translated string shows the text “%role” (as in Asetukset roolille %role) instead of the actual role name.

I don't think anyone is working with this any longer. Drupal 7 is going to be released soon...
