I really like what node_images does, but sometimes I could wish for more options regarding the sizes of the shown images.
Have you thought about integration with imagecache, that would probably offer everything one could think of in this regard ... ?

Would agree on such integration. Imagecache is smart and very flexible / customizable, and an excellent solution in case you need to bulk update *all* node images at once.
