I have signed up for google Adsense and when I create channel its giving an option to cppy the code and paste it on your Dite .HTML , please tell me where do I need to put the codes.

Are they referring to a Block?

You can copy them to your theme in proper place. Also you can make a block for them too which is easy. To make block ,go to admin -> structure -> block and then click on Add block link and paste that adsense code and choose the places you want ti to be appeared. For example in articles, basic pages and ...

and just in case you choose to use a block, when pasting the Google code, choose the Full HTML text format, otherwise that code will be ignored.

There are otherwise a google adsense & adsense injector modules. I find the block option easier to use.

If you want to make block, as Google adsense code is a script, i think you even can paste it as normal text too and it will be loaded as script. But i am not sure about it. Choose text and full HTML and see which of them works fine.
