Hey there everyone, I just set up a fresh D7 install and additionally installed Alphorn (w/ Omega) themes as well.

However, the default installation gives me a lot of whitespace: the main menu area and the footer/background all appear to be white.

I haven't changed anything aside from perhaps displaying items like logos or mission statements.

I have tried disabling, and then removing and reinstalling. Are there some settings I should be entering to make it look more similar to the screenshot? I am looking to eliminate all of the whitespace in the default configuration.

I am assuming this is something simple that I have overlooked. Price to pay for little to no sleep of late.

Performed another fresh install, hoping that perhaps there was something askew with what I had.

Anyway, same thing.

No config option that I can see, so why are there white backgrounds and header bars?

cjeason, I had the same issue, and seem to have found a decent solution. (Sorry for the verbosity of the following, but figured I would err on the side of making this clearer for D7 newbies like me.)

When logged in, go to: Appearance -> Settings (for ST alphorn)

Under: Layout Configuration -> Zone and region configuration

Then: Header Section -> Menu Zone -> Regions -> Menu

In: Additional region classes setting.

Add: element-invisible

This class is defined in the theme and its applied on the demo on the Symphony Themes site.

Save and refresh, and that blazing white menu area that you didn't ask for will be gone. Now if you actually want to put your own blocks in the menu region...well for now that's an exercise left for the reader!

Yeah I went with another theme that matched the "Advertised" screenshot. Thanks for your effort, this theme just didn't live up to what I was looking for.
