option to group single fields also

Hello,
your module is great to cleanup nodes, to have the possibility to put fields in a row vertical. That would also great for non-muliple fields.
That could a checkbox or better a radio similar like this
group:
[ ] none
[ ] single
[ ] multiple
because i think it dont't make sense to check 3 things together, or?
