I have set up RSS feeds in Configuration and some are showing HTML in the News node. Samples from 2 sources:

In Europe, Foreign Investment Starts Anew, Gingerly

Mass Effect 3's Creative Challenges

pimg src="http://www.gamasutra.com/db_area/images/feature/163828/me3_header.jpg" align="left" hspace="5"/Here's something for you: Spaceships, space marines, guns that shoot lasers, aliens, aliens with laser guns, aliens with sinister universe-crushing ambition, foreign worlds, ugly space aliens, sexy space aliens, sexy space marines with valiant universe-saving ambition, and, finally, hyper-light speed travel. Plenty of sci-fi properties have those elements, but not all of them have been able to captivate and engage an audience in the same way BioWare's Mass Effect role-playing games have. I either want these to display or not show at all and just have text. Any suggestions to correct this are good suggestions. Thank you in advance.

I am not sure what you mean by the News node. Are you getting problems with the way the feeds show in a feed reader, or in a browser?

Obviously feeds are not meant to be read in a browser, though most browsers add formatting (whereas Chrome displays the raw code: if that is the issue you are concerned about, just tell your users not to view the feeds in Chrome). If the formatting is wrong for a RSS reader then that is of course a real issue.

It is when I view the "aggregator" page as well as when I show the feed for more information in Drupal. If I go to the site that is linked by the feed then all is fine. I am not sure of the correct terminology. I have a navigation menu tab that gives a list of feeds with a summary. This is the "aggregator" page. Some come in fine but several show the HTML as described in my initial post.

I just noticed this on my site as well. Using aggregregator module and this morning noticed:

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/

as the top entry in the list of posts. I am pulling the feed from feedburner obviously but there has not been any posts on the site besides the one before the item above. I'm guessing likely a setting that got changed in feedburner that need to turn off or something.
