I've been sending a basic HTML-designed newsletter through the Simplenews module with some success. However, some users have reported receiving the newsletter with odd formatting -- all text, with all the links stripped out and dropped to the bottom of the email. Has anyone else encountered this, and how did you go about troubleshooting/solving the problem?

Thanks for your help,

Sounds an awful lot like they are receiving the non-HTML edition of your newsletter... Which would be governed (usually) by their individual mail client preferences.

One trick (which should work) is to have them forward the entire mail to you, and see if you can see the HTML bits (again, it'll depend a bit on how their client is set up, but especially if they can forward as attachment, it's likely to gather all the MIME parts and send them along).

If you can identify a pattern of recipients all using a particular OS, client, webmail, or security software, you may have your answer.

Now, it WOULD be nice if SimpleNews had one of those "Having trouble seeing this newsletter, click HERE to view it on our website" options...
