I think that is how it works
When the user creates the group by creating a group-type content node he or she becomes its admin.
Of course, that user needs appropriate privileges to do so.
:)
Yes organic group creater becomes admin but how general user
I am the basic admin of the site and all groups are created through my account but I want to assign admin role to general users of the group. After assigning roles these users have the right to organize group related all tasks. Please how can I convert general user of the site to admin of the group.
Please I need kind response.
Easy!
After you create the group, change the name of the author from you to the person you want to be the adminstrator of the group.
:)
Easier!
You should try "OG user roles", which is not an official module atm (it doesnt have a project site, unlike "OG roles" - which btw is useless), but you can read more about it here:
http://groups.drupal.org/access-control (which leads to http://drupal.org/node/87679 & http://groups.drupal.org/node/3377 where you can download the latest version).
Actually, seems that the properly working user created and administered features were included just 2 days ago :) I believe this is a lot better than the admin having to manually assing groups to users.
