Hi,

I tried using front page (and a feature configuring it) during an installation profile, but Drupal was redirecting me before the end of the installation process.

You'll find attached a patch checking the condition in hook_init() to avoid redirect.

Cross-referencing #1620074: redirect breaks cron as the concerned code is the same.
