Group events not showing up in event

Events that were created via a group menu (Group events) don't show up in the main event calendar (relative URL: event) while they do show up in the "next events" block.

when posting a group event, I would like to be able to choose whether the event is private (only group members can view it) or public.I've put this feature request in with the bug because I think it's related.
