Echoditto with a few Debut candidate features in the pipeline. This one, In The News, provides a content-type, view, & image for press references to your company -- "As seen in" funcionality.

I'll see if I can't tackle #1508348: upgrade modules (simplenews, fusion, panels, ctools, etc) and post new release to free you up some debut_* review time

Thanks for posting this.

A possible alternate way of meeting this need would be to use the existing debut_link feature, introducing an "In the news" term for the link_term vocabulary and then providing a link that passes in that term. Doing so would take advantage of the fact that the link content type already has the required fields and a suitable view exists for filtering by term. See this related issue: #1417878: Add sidebar list of link categories. Would that cover the need here?

@nedjo: Agreed. I work with lefnire and after further review we're on the same page - debut_link already fulfills this need.

After removal of this unit to leave the type of content as they are and there is no option to delete content type
