I have an IP address field set up for my user accounts. I want to automatically populate the field using the Rules module. When I add an action to set a data value, the IP field is the only one that is missing. Any ideas?

I guess field_ipaddress may require hook_entity_property_info, or perhaps hook_field_info_alter, to expose/alter its particular data structure for the entity module and rules.

Hi,

I have exactly this same issue using Feeds. The IP Address field doesn't appear in the list when mapping. Does anyone know the solution to this please?

D7 reached its EOL back in January 2025, and there is no active release for D7 for this module anymore.
Development or support is not planned for D7. All D7-related issues are marked as outdated in a bunch.

If the issue remains relevant for D10+ versions, merge requests with proposed solutions for a new module version (D10+) are welcome in a new follow-up issue.
