I am seeing two strange behaviors since a few weeks.

1) Some times, I cannot publish a newly created node. Unchecking "New revisions in moderation" while checking publish allows me to publish. If I don't do that trick, it remains stuck unpublished.

2) I got a single page node that started to exhibit the "access denied" error for anonymous and normal registered user’s roles (I got other user roles with more access powers). All other nodes can be seen by all.

I am pretty clueless as to what could cause these two things and whether they are linked issues or not. Could it be that the Drupal site database progressively gets corrupted by some modules installed? I surely hope I'm wrong on this.

Any ideas you have or suggestions on things to check will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Today, I found out why I had the access denied error on a single page. It was caused by a newly created Workflow rule that did not allow anonymous users to view the node in the "approved" state. So my item #2 above is fixed.

Still, i'd like your inputs on the problem publishing some nodes (item #1 above). I will follow up if I find more clues on that behavior.

Thanks
