How to replace original image with cropped one?

I love this module and I'm using it for a few image-fields including the profile picture in conjunction with imagecache profiles http://drupal.org/project/imagecache_profiles, and it works GREAT, but I would like to replace the original image with the cropped one (so other image styles will use the cropped one). Is there any way to do that? It seems the crop only get's done for that specific image style? Not just for profile pic, but for other content types I'm using it makes sense to have the user crop the image use that as the original (replace the original) and then apply various image styles to that image (thumbnail etc).
