generate new node from shortening, leverage path auto?

just wondering if there are any plans to let short url generation via bookmarklet (or page for shortening) present option to create a content node that repopulate with the short url - and along side this (sort of an alternate request, sorry) wondering if this module could support path auto to enable use on "existing sites" (per your suggestion to use on only new sites). that way i could create a short path auto prefix like my site.com/bm/shorturl..and avoid any/all content creation issues
