Having this issue also, but without having even updated Backup Migrate. I suspect it may be something to do with the new Dropbox changes they recently implemented for dragging and dropping of files online, as they may have made a number of other changes.

Looks like this can be fixed by updating the code that does the hard work of uploading to Dropbox - DropboxUploader see http://forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=10849 and the latest version of DropboxUploader on https://github.com/jakajancar/DropboxUploader

Also worth noting that this isn't anything to do with the version of backup_migrate changing
