I think this serves as a *very nice* example for setting up og/spaces/features (and maybe even configured notifications/messages settings); in such a manner that is closer to "core drupal" than something like a heavily configured Open Atrium or Acquia Commons. That being said, it'd be nice to explore what this would look like on D7...
