Hi,
I want to use fieldgroup with content form different content type.
If I understand well, I can't add in my node.tpl fields from another content type, in tabs already created by fieldgroup even if I create a module and place inside function for adding theses fields?
So I need to use Views?
I try fieldgroup_views but by a lake of documentation, I can use it, there's nothing new after installation in the view UI.
Can you help, please!

2nd that! Why can't existing field groups be reused as custom fields can?

Re-use is not possible. We choose to keep it this way. Changing this would mean a completely rewrite of the storage.
