Trying to install Filedepot. Looks exactly like what I need, except I cannot upload a file as the select file dialog is greyed out or disabled (see attached picture).

I saw some other bug reports with pictures that looked similar to this problem and those items suggested it may be a theme issue so i tried selecting different themes and it didn't help. Also tried different browsers. Nothing can be uploaded as yet.

I think I have installed it as described in the install doc.

BTW the "Add a new file" dialog also has an error when you hit the "Cancel" button as follows:

Check that you hit this step in the readme:
> http://yuilibrary.com/support/2.8.2/dropin_patches/uploader-2.7.0.zip - SAVE FILE as: yui_uploader.swf
And verify that yui_uploader.swf is infact loading. I missed this step the first time as well and got the exact same error.

I added and verified that the file (yui_uploader.swf) is uploading, using firebug. But still the modal box shows grey. I have also updated my flash player to the latest version (11.3.300.268)

Any other guidance or alternative would be helpful?

Ensure that you have cleared your browser cache and drupal cache.

Have you testing using different browsers - any change?

Are you seeing any other odd issues with the module's interface?
> for testing out the rest of the module where you need files, create folders in filedepot and then view those nodes in the native drupal manage content and attach files to the folder nodes. Help isolate that your issue is purely related to the flash upload widget in the D6 version of the module.

Also, test using the default theme to eliminate the theme being a source of the issue.

I have cleared all the caches, re-installed the module and have been working in the default theme.

For some reasons, I am still getting the same grey section and not the YUI uploader button. :(

Ok, It's working in IE8 but not in Firefox and Chrome.

Could it be your other browsers are using an older version of flash?

Having same problem .File selection dialog is greyed out.can anybody help pls.
In mozilla and chrome it is atleast showing interface but in IE8 its interface is also missing.

What flash version are you running?

Same issue, changed from Common Connect theme to Garland and it was no longer greyed out and was able to create a directory.
