On form build I am using "Hide an Element in the Form" to hide several elements but I am not being offered the option to hide Node Reference fields.

Ok I can now hide most of the node ref fields (after rebuilding form element data) but I still cannot hide a node ref field that is being prepopulated using the Prepopulate module.
