Installation is done in the usual way: just drop the module into your selected modules directory and enable the module.

Upgrading from 6.x-2.x to 6.x-3.x releases

At present, there is an issue due to a conflicting variable name, and the lack of proper uninstall/upgrade handlers. See: #1342142: Cannot configure node body insertion template settings after upgrade to 6.x-3.0 and the cause and a workaround.

The general update process from 6.x-2.x (or earlier) versions to the 6.x-3.x-dev or 6.x-3.0 build:

  1. Copy your old body and teaser list insertion template text for future reference -- you're going to lose it during the update!
  2. Disable the old version of the module.
  3. Delete the old version's files.
  4. Install and enable the new version in the usual way.
  5. Reset the module's settings to default values.
  6. Re-enter your teaser template and update the module's "Inline insertion" template to reflect your desired inline template (which will probably be based on your old "body insertion template").
  7. Re-select the node types to allow insertion as desired.
  8. Set the word count limits as appropriate.
